Beth Moore / Owner / Photographer
Hi-I’m Beth! Thank you so much for stopping by & checking out my website. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for photography. My best friend from my childhood still kids me to this day that if it wasn’t for me, we wouldn’t have any ‘evidence’ of all the crazy adventures we had! Photography was always just a hobby for me until I graduated college & went into teaching. I use photography as a creative outlet, but over the years, it slowly grew into a small part-time business. I photographed just about everything during those years, trying to find which specialty I enjoyed the most-which one would be my niche. While growing my business over the years that I taught, I found that I most enjoyed photographing senior portraits-which makes sense-I taught high school biology, so of course I get along with & understand (to a certain degree!) high schoolers! I absolutely love being a Dallas Fort Worth senior photographer. I quit teaching over a year ago to pursue photography (specifically senior portraits) full time, and haven’t looked back!
Let’s see, a little bit about me…I am a born & raised Texan-grew up in the mid-cities (Colleyville) and have now returned to the area (Grapevine). While I sometimes feel that the mid-cities is a little too suburban for me, I can’t deny that I love being smack dab in between Dallas & Fort Worth! I went to college at TCU and graduated with a degree in Biology-thus segueing me into my former career of teaching. I met my husband while in college & we married a few years after I graduated (so no, I technically did not get my MRS. Degree-thank you very much!). We lived in Austin & North Dallas for a couple years before calling Grapevine our home. We have 2 fur babies, our cuddly maltese/yorkie dog Maxx & our gorgeous, fat calico kitty, Nala. They are my babies-it is a nightly ritual that they both cuddle up with me on the couch while I finish up work on my computer!
What else?! I love love to travel-don’t do it often enough. I was fortunate to grow up in a family that spent all their money traveling ( 😉 ) and I was able to travel & explore countries all throughout the globe. My favorite travel experience, hands down, is when I went to South Africa the summer of my Junior year in college & volunteered at a vervet monkey sanctuary & children’s orphanage; lifetime memories & friendships were formed! I have an odd liking for zombie movies/shows (The Walking Dead, anyone?!) and anything to do with dystopian societies. So of course that includes any books (especially YA) dealing with that genre-love The Hunger Games, the Divergent series, etc. Oh, and my only vices would be I drink way too much Diet Coke (not Diet Pepsi-there is a difference!) and chew too much gum-well, those are the only two I’ll admit to 😉
I am one of the few who can honestly say they love their job & are lucky enough to pursue their passion. I truly love photography & how it’s allowed me to meet & work with so many amazing individuals. I look forward to meeting you! XO, Beth
